I would just like to put to rest the “Rag Theory” as a way to commit suicide.

There is NO WAY in Hell that this would work.

First of all the rag will not stay in the tailpipe when the car is started because the back pressure will cause it to be expelled. The car was not driven any significant distance with that rag in the tailpipe unless it was placed in there loosely and exhaust was still able to be expelled thru the fabric of the towel.

The insertion of a rag into the tailpipe tight enough to not be expelled would stall the engine.

Even IF this was a possible scenario to commit suicide, which it is not, the car being outdoors in the open would never create enough exhaust fumes to cause death. The fumes would just dissipate. Death is not going to occur.

The rag was not IN ANY WAY connected to a suicide attempt at the WBC scene like some have eluded to as a possible scenario. NOPE…! Think about that…really think hard so You can trash that from the brain.

The “Rag Seed” was planted by Officer Smith on night one when He told the Westman’s about the rag in the tailpipe. WHY did Smith plant that in their brains.?

WHY was the rag looked at as suspicious but never treated as evidence, it was not protected from the elements while on the flatbed, it was still in the exhaust on Friday the 13th when Fred Murray saw the Saturn for the first time in NH, LE instructed Fred to remove the towel before starting the car thus contaminating the evidence even further or possibly placing Fred’s DNA on the towel.

Where is the rag now, was it ever tested, what was determined from these test IF any were done.

WHEN was Forensic testing done on the Saturn, IF any was done at all in the early days. Remember they let Fred in the car on Friday, hence more tainted evidence and possible DNA transfer from Mr. Murray.

MAURA DID NOT COME TO NH TO COMMIT SUICIDE…..JUST THE ITEMS IN THE SATURN SHOULD POINT AWAY FROM THAT SCENARIO.

WHO placed the Rag in the tailpipe….?

WHO planted the RAG SEED..? Law Enforcement, specifically Officer Smith.

WHO, WHAT, WHY, WHEN, WHERE; So many questions with convoluted answers.
